This free WHMCS Gold plugin will help you and your clients to manage day to day hosting operations more easily

HOW IT WORKS:

With this module implemented, you can create your own sets of icons or links in Cpanel for your clients to jump around between WHMCS and Cpanel without having to re-login on both system.

This module is extremely handy to:

  • Offer Promotional Add-Ons and Services From Your Cpanel area - so when client clicks on it, they are automatically land on the WHMCS ordering page with all the products add-ons already selected, all they have to do is pay.
  • Offer Domain Registration from within your Cpanel
  • Provide Submit Ticket icon/link from Cpanel
  • Provide View Invoices/Billing Area link from Cpanel
  • Provide Update Contact Info link from Cpanel
  • Provide anything which can only be done from within WHMCS, can now be done from Cpanel by clicking on the bridge link, you can also pass variables, for example client landed on WHMCS page, the domain "mysecond-domain.com" has already been entered into the shopping cart. So the clients just need to make payment.

PROCESS FLOW:

Here is how the bridge system process flow works:

  1. bridge.php is called in cPanel and WHMCS variables are passed to it
  2. bridge.php do a WHMCS Gold license check, and if the license check is valid then continues below
  3. bridge.php connects to your WHMCS database defined on your bridge_conf.php file to get the WHMCS client id and password associated with the cPanel username to auto login using a POST method to WHMCS, just like clients would manualy login from WHMCS
  4. client now lands on WHMCS already logged in with all the WHMCS variables passed through

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Q: Can we limit WHMCS Gold cPanel bridge to display WHMCS only on cPanel customers and not resellers?

A: What you can do is when creating these custom cPanel section, don't use my "hard code" example I gave, but make it through the cPanel branding capability so that you can restrict this new "theme" just to your own direct customers and not to your resellers.

You can even tell your resellers to copy the bridge.php and bridge_conf.php file into their own branding folder to make use of it. I am sure your resellers will love it.

We will create a cPanel plugin to manage this properly, it should be available through our website cpanelplugins.com soon!
